If you apply to teach with TeachOverseas.org (a.k.a. Educational Services International), and are fully accepted to teach in one of our programs, you will be eligible to win up to $1,000 in travel scholarship to the country where you will serve with TeachOverseas.org
Once you apply, your name will be entered in a drawing. Your application must be received or postmarked on or before April 15, 2010.
The drawing will occur on April 30th, 2010. The first name drawn will be offered a travel scholarship up to $1,000 for the cost of round trip air travel from Los Angeles, California to your host country. This scholarship can only be used for one summer or yearlong overseas trip in 2010 or 2011 with TeachOverseas.org.
If your name is selected, you must be interviewed, and accepted by TeachOverseas.org, and attend the required training. The travel scholarship will be applied toward your air travel (cash will not be given directly to the winner) at the time you actually leave for the country where you will teach. You must raise the full amount of support required prior to departure to receive the travel scholarship. If you are not fully accepted, trained and able to go, then the scholarship will go to the next name drawn.
The President of TeachOverseas.org shall be the final judge of who will win this scholarship based on meeting all of the requirements.
